Roberto Benigni: A Man of Many Talents

Roberto Benigni whose full name is Roberto Remigio Benigni is an Italian actor, comedian, screenwriter and director who was born on October 27, 1952, in Arezzo, Tuscano, Italy. He is regarded as a Man of Many Talents.

Aside from being a famous Italian actor, he’s also known for his songs. In fact, at a young age of 10, he started with songs and poetry as he became member of a troubadour act in his hometown. He also got acquainted with theatre groups as he moved to Rome. His debut as a director began with Tu Mi Turbi (You Disturb Me), a controversial television monologue who criticized back then the Pope John Paul II. Then, in the film Life is Beautiful, he won the Academy Award for Best Actor.

Nobody can describe Italian cinema better than that. He is currently one of the most notable and outstanding icons in Italian entertainment, something he achieved through his exceptional works. However, he is not only famous in Italy but he has also gained reputation worldwide.
